During an agressive interchange regarding Noona Katia & Josie, many things are expressed during the heat of the moment. "What did I do to deserve a daughter & grandaughter like you?" said in mid-shot to clearly capture emotions from the characters.
Seemingly ironic how Noona Katia claims "You [Josie] were cursed this way because of Christina. All curses come from the mother.". Katia seems to have forgotten about the adultery she has commited with Marcus Sandford.

Dramatic contrast takes place in this scene after the fight between Noona Katia & Josie, just prior to when Michael Andretti arives at Noona Katia's house. Josie storms to the front door after Noona Katia reveals "I don't want you here." Josie finds herself in a moment of intense realisation when she comes face-to-face with Michael Andretti. Caught in the deep visual connection with Michael, she makes the alarming discovery that he, the adored boy-next-door, is in fact her father.

Contast is apparent when Noona bounces back from agression at the mere sight of Michael Andretti. "Did you know Christina had a daughter?" Katia questions Michael, "Christina's daughter?" Michael manages to sum up, still caught in the connection with Josie.

Whilst being caught up in an agressive interchange, Nonna Katia & Josie express deep raw emotions in the heat of the moment. "What did I do to deserve a daughter & grandaughter like you?" said, by Noona Katia, while the camera is in mid-shot-a technique used to capture emotions from the characters. Noona Katia ironically claims "You [Josie] were cursed because of Christina. All curses come from the mother.", Noona Katia seems to have forgotten about the adultery she commited with Marcus Sandford.

After Noona Katia reveals "I don't want you here.", Josie storms to the door & after opening it she finds herself in a deep visual connection with Michael Andretti. Josie has an alarming realisation when she discovers that Michal Andretti is, in fact, her father.

Contrast is apparent after Josie has a moment of sudden realisation just before Noona Katia arrives at the door, bouncing to see adored boy-next-door, Michael Andretti. "Did you know Christina had a daughter?" Noona Katia questions, "Christina's daughter?" Michael manages to sum up, still caught in deep connection with Josie. "I can't pretend he [Michael] doesn't exsist anymore."

"My father has a scent, it's a combination of cigarettes, aftershave & the smell that all men have." Josie has discovered a part of her that was essential to her feeling as if she belongs.

An important scene in the movie Looking For Alibrandi is the scene where Josephine first meets her father Michael Andretti.
There is an obvious resemblence between the two and Josephine and Michael have their own moment before she gathers her wits together and bolts off home.
Her Grandmother is blissfully unaware of what is going on and is
very glad that Michael Andretti has turned up and treats him like a long lost son.

When Josie first meets Micheal Andretti, you can feel the sense of knowing coming from both of them in the doorway, a sort of knowing that they are related in some way that they don't know yet. The visual techniques help this in the way that their emotions are spread across their faces and the verbal expresses their feelings by the way Josie says "My mother had me young." really fast then runs off. I felt that scene was important because it is the first time we see Josie and her father together, even if they don't know it themselves.

I thought and important scene in the movie was when Josie hits Carly and calls her father in to help her. The fantasy for Josie was when they were walking down the stairs and the glass behind them changes to show a hero and the damsel in distress. I thought this showed a crucial moment when Josie actually aknowledges her father. I can't remember and particular techniques used but i thort that scene was good.

i thought an important moment was when Josie was storming out off Nonna's house and she nearly runs into Michael Andretti, you can feel the sense of knowing but not wanting to believe it from both of them their facial expersions give that away as well. when Michael says "Christina's daughter?" you can hear in his voice that he don't believe it

An important scene in the film is when Josie is running out of Katia’s house after the heated argument in which Katia says "I don't want you here." When Josie run in to Michael Andretti in the door way. This scene is important because Josie finally realizes and knows where she comes from. This scene is a mid shot and shows the emotion of the moment. The voice over when Josie is at home in the bathroom is and important verbal technique it shows that Josie knows who her father is and where she belongs. “My father has a scent it is a combination of cigarettes, aftershave and that smell that all men have. I can’t pretend he doesn’t exist anymore”
